These terms are provided as a solid, standard starting point for a UK trade business website. They are not a substitute for legal advice — particularly the sections on cancellation rights and liability, where a solicitor can confirm they're fully tailored to how you take bookings and payment. We'd recommend a quick professional review before relying on them.
These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of the Atlas Roofing Cheshire website and to any quote, enquiry or service arrangement you make with us through it. By using this website or contacting us for a quote, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with any part of them, please don't use the website or our services.
Atlas Roofing Cheshire ("we", "us", "our") provides roofing services across Cheshire and the Wirral.
This website and its content (including text, images, logos and design) are provided for general information about our services and to allow you to request a quote. You may view and use the website for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
You must not misuse this website by knowingly introducing viruses or other malicious material, attempting unauthorised access to it, or using it in any way that could damage, disable or impair its operation.
All content on this website, unless otherwise stated, is owned by or licensed to Atlas Roofing Cheshire and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, copy or redistribute it for commercial purposes without our permission.
Any quote or estimate provided through this website, by phone, or during a site visit is given in good faith based on the information available at the time, but is not a binding contract until confirmed in writing by both parties.
Final pricing may vary from an initial estimate if, once work begins, additional issues are discovered that weren't visible or known about beforehand (for example, hidden structural damage). Where this happens, we'll always discuss and agree any changes with you before carrying out extra work.
Submitting an enquiry through this website does not commit you to booking any work with us.
Once you accept a quote, the specific terms of that job — including price, timescale, payment schedule and scope of work — will be confirmed in writing and form the agreement for that piece of work, alongside these general terms.
We aim to carry out all work to a professional standard, in line with current building regulations and good trade practice, and to complete work within any agreed timescale — though timescales can be affected by factors outside our control, such as weather or the availability of specific materials.
Work carried out by Atlas Roofing Cheshire is covered by our workmanship guarantee, the specific terms and duration of which will be confirmed in writing at the time of your quote. This guarantee covers defects in our workmanship; it does not cover damage caused by separate incidents (such as storms or accidental damage), normal wear and tear, or work carried out by third parties after our work is completed.
Payment terms will be agreed with you at the time of quoting and confirmed in writing before work begins. This may include a deposit for larger jobs, with the balance due on completion, or payment in full on completion for smaller jobs.
If you book work with us following a quote given away from our business premises (for example, at your home), you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, unless you've asked us to start work sooner and expressly agreed to waive part of that cancellation period. We'll confirm your specific cancellation rights in writing when you book.
If you wish to cancel a booking, please contact us as soon as possible using the details in Section 10.
Atlas Roofing Cheshire carries public liability insurance for the work we carry out. Full details of our cover are available on request.
While we take care to ensure the information on this website is accurate, it is provided for general guidance only and shouldn't be relied on as a substitute for a proper site assessment. We aren't liable for any loss or damage arising from reliance on general website content, though this doesn't affect our liability for work we actually carry out under a separate agreed contract, or for anything that cannot legally be excluded (such as death or personal injury caused by negligence).
If you're unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us directly using the details below so we can look into it and put things right. We aim to respond to all complaints promptly and fairly.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date. Continued use of the website after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
